Aakash Tablet Personal Computer which has released on 5th October2011 is considered as world’s Cheapest Tablet PC.
The basic version of Aakash Tablet PC price in India for students is just Rs 1,500 which is very low.
Commercial version of Aakash Tablet PC will cost around Rs 2999 and this will have some additional features like inbuilt cellular modem and SIM to access the internet connection.
The awaited $35 computing and access device to be made available to the all students from the primary schools till universities will be launched on 5th October in India.
HRD Minister Kapil Sibal said in a press conference while in a function that this computer will be launched in October and this is not just a dream but is a reality.
Officials from the Ministry said that this low-cost device has launched on 5th October 2011.
HRD Minister Kapil Sibal said that name has already been finalized for this dream device and this will announced at the launch party.
Kapil Sibal however did not elaborate about device which is being billed as cheapest computer ever made globally.
This unique computer will bring immense benefits to all students and this will be connected to internet and perform all kinds of functions which any other computer can perform.
Kapil Sibal had unveiled in July last year that this computer likely to be in 5/7/9 inches touch screen gadget and this would be packed with the internet browsers, PDF, video conferencing, office tools, science-lab, music player, remote device capability, multimedia input and output interface and multiple content viewer facilities.
